His Story

Dr. Matt Miller, PT, DPT is a physical therapist, educator, and co-owner of Elevate Physical Therapy. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Fox University in 2021 and brings experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, persistent pain management, and geriatric physical therapy.

Dr. Miller currently serves as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Kinesiology at George Fox University, where he helps prepare the next generation of clinicians. Prior to this role, he worked as an adjunct professor and served as the interim lead therapist at the university’s Physical Therapy Community Clinic. He has also contributed to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program as both a teaching assistant and clinical instructor.

Alongside his academic work, Dr. Miller is a co-owner and practicing clinician at Elevate Physical Therapy, where he enjoys working with patients to restore movement, improve function, and support long-term health. His clinical interests include helping individuals manage persistent pain, recover from musculoskeletal injuries, and maintain mobility and independence throughout the lifespan.

Dr. Miller earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Oregon in 2016 before pursuing his doctorate in physical therapy.

Outside of the clinic and classroom, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, exercising, and working in his yard. He also leads the Elevate Physical Therapy 99 Ruck Club, a community fitness group focused on building strength, resilience, and connection through rucking and outdoor movement.
