His Story
Dr. Tyler Whited, PT, DPT is a physical therapist, educator, and clinician with a strong passion for advancing clinical practice through education and mentorship. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Fox University in 2018 after completing his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the same institution in 2015.
Dr. Whited currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at George Fox University, where he helps train future physical therapists and movement professionals. He has also served the Doctor of Physical Therapy program as both a graduate teaching assistant and clinical instructor, contributing to the development of students as they enter clinical practice.
Prior to his academic role, Dr. Whited worked in various clinical settings in the Salem area and later served as owner and physical therapist at Elevate Physical Therapy in Newberg. At Elevate Physical Therapy, he continues to treat patients while also leading much of the clinic’s continuing education development, helping clinicians translate research into meaningful patient care.
Dr. Whited is passionate about elevating clinical reasoning and helping clinicians think more deeply about patient care through continuing education, discussion, and mentorship.
Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife and son, exploring the outdoors, staying active through various forms of exercise, and searching for the best tacos wherever he travels.
